Olympics
The current success of the United States hockey team prompted me to look back at Bill Russell's Olympic experience. The 1956 team in Melbourne was so dominant that the American players rarely played more than half a game, and American newspapers focused on the (lack of) height of the international players rather than details of the games. Basketball was not really considered a major Olympic sport, as track-and-field events were the focus on the Games. It was a very different era.
